COTONOU (AFP) - US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton arrived in the West African nation of Benin on Friday on the final stop of a 10-day African tour.
Clinton arrived from Ghana, where she attended the funeral of president John Atta Mills. She will stay only briefly in Benin, where she is due to meet President Thomas Boni Yayi, the current chair of the African Union.
She will then fly to Istanbul for talks on the Syrian crisis.
Clinton also visited Senegal, Uganda, South Sudan, Kenya, Malawi, South Africa and Nigeria on her African tour.
