Accra, Aug. 09, GNA - Thousands of mourners from all walks of life who thronged the State House hoping to file past the body of the late President John Evans Atta Mills are still waiting in long queues.
The Ghana News Agency (GNA) observed on Thursday evening that there were different queues from all directions heading towards the stands at the different gates to the state House.
Most of the mourners, who were in black and red attires, were struggling but willingly waiting to have their turn to salute and show their last respects to the late Ghanaian leader, who died on July 24 at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra.
Akosua Serwah and Akua Nyarkoah were among the few who spoke to the GNA and said they would never give up until they got the individual opportunity to see the mortal remains of their leader who they described as "a great one"
