Accra, Aug. 7, GNA - The Ghana Integrity Initiative (GII) on Tuesday said it had received with shock and sadness news of the passing away of President John Evans Atta Mills on Tuesday, 24th July, 2012.
This was contained in an official letter copied to the Ghana News Agency and signed by Vitus Adaboo Azeem, GII Executive Director.
“As a father of the nation and to every Ghanaian, the President tried his best to satisfy every Ghanaian but being the human being that he was, he probably did not succeed in pleasing everybody.
“All the same, he was able to satisfy a majority of Ghanaians as has already been demonstrated by the outpouring of grief all over the country. May the Almighty God receive him in his bosom and give him a peaceful resting place,” it added.
The statement congratulate President John Dramani Mahama on his elevation to the highest office of the land.
