Ghanaians asked to emulate virtues of late President Mills

Sekondi (W/R), Aug 2, GNA — The Council of Christian Charismatic Churches-Ghana (CCCCG), on Thursday admonished Ghanaians to emulate the virtues of late President John Evans Atta Mills.

The President of the Council, Bishop Emmanuel Ellison described the late President as humble, respectful, patient, unifying, tolerant and a peacemaker, whose virtues are worthy of emulation by the entire citizenry.

Bishop Ellison made these remarks when he led a delegation to the Western Regional Coordinating Council (WRCC) in Sekondi to sign the book of condolence in memory of the late President.

He said the qualities of the late President would be a source of inspiration and encouragement to generation and posterity.

The Council, therefore, expressed its sympathy to the bereaved family, the former First Lady, Mrs Dr. Ernestina Naadu Mills and the entire Ghanaians.

Some of the delegates included Rev. Maxwell Bluwey, Rev. Joshua Bediako, Rev. Augustine Paintsil, Pastor Jacob Coker Cobbinah, Elder William Dogbey and others.

Ghana's late President, Professor John Evans Atta Mills passed on last Tuesday July 24 at the 37 Military Hospital at age 68.

Late President Mills was the third President of the Fourth Republic of Ghana, and the first President to have died in office after serving three and-a-half years of his first term.
