Government has denied reports by sections of the media to the effect that Chief of Staff John Henry Martey Newman has quit his position.
A statement issued on Thursday by Minister of Information Fritz Baffuor described the publication as 'palpably false'.
'It has come to the notice of the presidency that certain media houses have reported the alleged resignation of Mr. John Henry Martey Newman as the Chief of Staff at the Office of the President'.
The statement said 'presidency wishes to state categorically that Mr. John Henry Martey Newman has not resigned and is still at post and that the alleged reports are palpably untrue and should be disregarded in totality'.
