Ghanaians observe a minute's silence in memory of President Mills

Accra, July 31, GNA - Ghanaians observed a minute's silence on Tuesday, July 31 at exactly 1415 in memory of President John Evans Atta Mills, who died at the 37th Military Hospital on Tuesday 14 July .

This was in fulfilment of a government directive that a minute's silence should be observed nationwide on the celebration of the one week of President Mills' demise r.

It said "Wherever people find themselves throughout Ghana at 2.15 pm on Tuesday, July 31, they are to observe a minute's silence as directed and also say a prayer afterwards for the soul of President Mills who worked selflessly towards bettering the lives of Ghanaians".
