Bala Gonnor (Amasaman), July 30, GNA – Mr Isaac Awuku Yibor, an Independent aspiring parliamentary candidate for Domeabra-Obom has donated jerseys and footballs to four communities in the constituency.

The communities which participated in a friendly soccer gala before the presentation, included Bala Gonnor, Odumase, Tebu and Congo, all in Ga South Municipality, in the Greater Accra Region.

Mr Yibor told the players that they should not let go waste their God gifted potentials, by indulging in social vices like womanising, alcoholism and smoking.

He said he was organising such activities to help unearth talents and to link them to the rightful authorities for support.

Mr Yibor appealed to the youth to vote for him in the upcoming December parliamentary election.

He said he would tackle problems such as the bad roads, the lack of potable drinking water, a health facility and a senior high school.

Mr Lord Agbavor, the Communication Director of the Independent candidate said Mr Yibor was born and bred in the Domeabra-Obom Constituency and knows the needs and aspirations of the people.

He asked the footballers to campaign vigorously for Mr Yibor to win the parliamentary seat to enable him to help them and the constituency as a whole.

Some Ghanaian foreign based players, who graced the occasion were Emmanuel Sakyi formerly of Sububribi, Goldfields and RTU; Yussif Chibsah formerly of Sekondi Hassacas and Hearts of Lions now based in Malaysia and Evans Mensah also of Okwahu United now playing in Thailand.

They advised the young players to be respectful to their coaches, elders and leaders in their communities.

They urged them to take football seriously and must be self-disciplined by avoiding alcoholism and smoking, which ruin the career of footballers.
