Tamale, July 27, GNA – The Dakpema, Chief of Tamale and his elders, expressing their grief and condolences on the passing of President John Atta Mills, said they are in a state of shock.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Dakpema's Palace in Tamale and copied to the Ghana News Agency.
The statement said: “the Dakpema, on his own behalf and on behalf of his elders and the entire people of Tamale wish to express their deepest sympathy and condolence to the family of our late president and the Government on this painful loss.”
They congratulated President John Dramani Mahama on his elevation and wished him Allah's guidance in his new role.
