Ho, July 27, GNA - Alhaji Hamza Danjuma, Volta Region Chief Imam on Friday said the Muslim community in the Region was deeply grieved over the sudden death of Professor John Evans Atta Mills.
He described the late President as, “A father for all” whose death was a great loss to the country. Alhaji Danjuma expressed condolence and sympathy to Mrs Naadu Mills; the entire bereaved family and the Government.
“Indeed, the Koran says every soul must taste death whether in sickness or in good health because Allah has appointed a time for everybody. The time for our dear late President Mills has come and we pray that his soul rest in peace,” he said.
Alhaji Danjuma was hopeful that the demise of President Mills would unite the country and “mark a positive turning point for politics in the country.”
He congratulated President John Dramani Mahama on his elevation and urged him to follow the peaceful footsteps of the late President.
