Girl Jilted For Refusing To Bleach Her Private Parts

More than often, when cases of jilt are reported by women, they usually are accused of unfaithfulness, adultery, theft, disrespect or other bad personal traits, but for one lady who prefers to be known as just Juliet, her boyfriend actually left her simply because she refused to bleach her private parts as suggested by her boyfriend who craves for fair ladies.

As weird as it may seem, 26 years old Juliet told VibeGhana.com that her 29 years old “business man” boyfriend kicked her out of his rented apartment at East Legon in Ghana apparently because she refused to use some prescribed creams which were aimed at lightening her body and genital areas.

According to her, Emma, who travels to China to buy goods to resell in Ghana supplies some of these bleaching products to hosts of university ladies in Ghana hence the said whitening cream is very popular in Some Ghanaian Universities, especially Legon.

“One day I was taking my bath when Emma came into the bathroom with some cream in a small container, upon enquiry, he told me it is skin whitening cream I must use around my private parts and as shocked as I was, refused” Juliet narrated “I couldn't believe what my boyfriend wanted me to do” She said.

She told VibeGhana.com that her actions angered her boyfriend who subsequently kicked her out and went in for a fair skinned girl.

Interestingly to her surprise, upon discussing her predicaments with some friends, she realised some of them have also been exposed to some of these bleaching creams in a bid to please their respective partners.

She stressed that whiles some of them are proud of using the cream , others are using it with the fear that if they stop, their men will leave them.

Health expects are of the view that skin bleaching leads to skin cancers ,kidney damage and hosts of other harmful effects , so for Juliet, “something must be done about it”.

According to her, there are a number of Ghanaian women who are facing pressures from their men to bleach and therefore calling on some female celebrities in Ghana to use their status to raise the issue for it to be addressed.

She is again advising dark skin girls to be proud of themselves and not allow any man to pressure them into bleaching their private part or any part of their body.
