Beposo (Ash), July 23, GNA – The Ghana Muslim Mission Basic School at Beposo in the Sekyere Central District of the Ashanti Region, has taken delivery of 20 desktop computers, accessories and stationery, valued about GH¢25,000.00.
The equipment and stationery were donated by a Ghanaian businessman based in Mauritania, Alhaji Mahama Amponsah, and his family.
Hajia Amponsah, wife of Alhaji Amponsah, who made the presentation on behalf of the family, said it was their contribution towards strengthening the teaching of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the school.
She called on the school authorities to ensure that the computers were properly handled to ensure that they last longer.
Mrs Georgina Adu, Headmistress of the school, who received the donation, thanked the Alhaji Amponsah family, and appealed to individuals and groups to assist the school to connect their ICT centre to an internet source.
The headmistress also appealed to benevolent organisations to help install air conditioners at the centre.
