EL FASHER (DARFUR), Sudan, July 20, 2012/African Press Organization (APO)/ -- On behalf of the African Union – United Nations Mission in Darfur, I wish to congratulate the people of Darfur, the Darfur Regional Authority and the Government of the Sudan on the occasion of the Holy month of Ramadan.
Ramadan is the month of blessing and forgiveness. It is also a time of deep reflections. Moreover, this is a time for reconciliation, when differences are put aside in order to foster the values of this holy month.
In that spirit, I wish the sons and daughters of Darfur a blessed month Ramadan Kareem, and express our firm and continuous commitment to support their efforts to advance peace, stability and prosperity in Darfur.
