Kojo Choi clinches Coca Cola June medal in a phenomenal style

Kojo Choi pulled off a striking victory at the Celebrity Golf Club during the Coca Cola June Monthly Medal. His win is considered very important owing to the fact that, it happened on the last day of the month of June; it is sure to set the tone for big things to happen as well as a very refreshing welcome from his short trip abroad recently.

“I am very happy for this win, it was a good way to end the month and I look forward to growing in confidence with this win.” He said. However, an opportunity to play among an endearing group didn't only draw substantial galleries but ignited certain edge in him that virtually made him a superman.

“Yes! I played well…I was striking the balls pretty crisply and had some great putts, however playing alongside a Kenyan fellow and Mike Ikpoki was a real booster for my win. I only hope to practice hard and stay in contention for future tournaments.” He noted

Playing on a course that prides itself with exciting settings, scenery and layout, he squeaked out to a net score of 69 off handicap 12 in the men Division. He birdied a lone hole on the front nine and went on to repeat same on the back nine. He made as many pars as he bogeyed the remaining holes.

As Kojo is reeling in his win and other positive bearing on the game, Vincent Torgah, a Ghanaian pro that Kojo delightfully manages is virtually routing the fields in Nigeria together with his compatriots Emos Korblah and this feat provides a spur of joy for Kojo.

“This is great news for Ghana golf, every golfer in Ghana should be proud of this feat.” Kojo reasoned.

As per the half-year Top 10 Money List standings of professional golfers in Nigeria, Ghana's Emos Korblah and Vincent Torgah stayed atop the first and second positions respectively, beaten to third and fourth positions strong contenders Oche Odoh and Gift Willy respectively.

Emos and Vincent assumed in between themselves, six of the eight tournament glories and are confident to repeat the exciting trend for the last half of the year.

Kojo believes the rise to golf dominance in Nigeria by these Ghanaians will not be a whirlwind glory despite the strong contention they are likely to face in the second half of the year. “I know things can only get better, Emos will not rest and Vincent will be more steadfast than he has always been,” he continued, “he is my boy and I know the substance he is made of, in fact he's now more or less part of my life.” He concluded.
