Oyibi (GAR), 4 July, GNA - The Syracuse University in New York and the Ohio University, both in the United States of America, on Wednesday presented assorted books worth 40,000.00 dollars to the Valley View University (VVU)at Oyibi.

They included books on Management Information System, Marketing, Business Internet, Employment and Labour Law, Mathematics and laws on Drug Trusting.

The presentation of the books was facilitated by Dr Kofi Appiah Okyere, an accounting lecturer, at Syracuse University, and Dr Mary Bowen, Head of the Nursing Department at Ohio University.

Receiving the books, Professor Phillip Maiyo, Pro-Vice Chancellor, VVU, lauded the initiative by the universities to promote academic work at the university.

He appealed to the students to make good use of university library and read the books in order to broaden their horizon.

Prof. Maiyo expressed praised Dr Mary Bowen and Dr Kofi Appiah Okyere for facilitating the donation of the books.

He said that authorities of the university were working to transform the library into a standard one with all the needed materials.

Dr Isaac Bimpeh Boateng, Coordinator of SDA Projects in Ghana, made the presentation on behalf of the donors.

He called on Adventists and all well meaning Ghanaians in the Diaspora to support the University.
