Adoagyiri-Nsawam (E/R), June 20, GNA – Mr Emmanuel Twumasi, an opinion leader and a restaurant proprietor at Pokua in the Ga West Municipality has advised the youth of the area to stop engaging in land guard and stone quarrying practices.
He urged them to acquire training skills in technical education; catering and other occupational opportunities that would guarantee their future.
Mr Twumasi gave the advice at a gathering of about 300 youth from Pokua, Faase and its environs to deliberate on issues affecting the area, especially the youth and the way forward.
He said his restaurant at Pokua has employed 20 young men in the area and had also acquired farmlands for the cultivation of cassava, plantains and other foodstuffs at Suhum.
He said he intends establishing a vocational centre to give them employable training skills.
