Abuakwa (Ash), June 20, GNA – Chief Imoro Bandana, Deputy Chief Physician in-charge of the Abuakwa Health Centre, in the Atwima-Nwabiagya District, has appealed to individuals, organizations and Government to provide the facility with an ambulance.
He expressed worry that patients referred to bigger hospitals, including the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and the Seventh-Day Adventist Hospital at Suntreso, were often conveyed in pick-up vehicles and taxis.
Chief Bandana in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Abuakwa, also called for the rehabilitation of the hospital.
He complained that roofs of the main ward and the reproductive child health block leaks whenever it rained, and added that there was congestion at the Out-Patients Department.
