Adrobaa (B/A), June 12, GNA – African Assistance Plan (AAP), a Sunyani-based Christian non-governmental organization, on Monday presented multi-vitamin food supplements worth GH¢ 10,000 to more than 4,000 pupils in the Tano North District.
The school children were from Techire Islamic Primary, Adrobaa Methodist Model Primary and Adrobaa Roman Catholic Roman Catholic Primary Schools.
Others were from Afrisipakrom Roman Catholic, Bomaa Presby and Ahyiayem D/A Primary schools.
Making the presentation at separate ceremonies in the various schools, Mrs. Rose Meda Otoo, Programme Manageress of AAP, said proper upbringing and development of children was the collective responsibility of all stakeholders.
She explained the need for all and sundry to help ensure that school children especially those in deprived areas obtained good diet and schooled under conducive and sound atmosphere.
Miss Juliana Danquah, the Assistant Headmistress of the Islamic Primary School thanked the NGO for the gesture and expressed the hope that the NGO would continue to support the school.
At Adrobaa Methodist, Mr Francis Wajar, assistant head teacher, appealed to the government to extend the school feeding programme to cover the 226 pupils in the school.
