Teacher Mante (E/R), June 8, GNA – Nana Mbiah I, Mponuahene of Akyem Traditional Area, has called on the youth not to allow themselves to be influence by self-seeking politicians to foment trouble in the December 7 General Election.
He said they have nothing to gain if they allow themselves to be use for counter-productive ventures instead of grooming themselves to be the future leaders of the country.
Nana Mbiah made the call when he met with about 200 youth at Teacher Mante in Suhum-Kraboa Coalta District of Eastern Region to chart the way forward for Election 2012.
Nana Mbiah said some of the brains behind violent upheavals in the country are well to do people who have their children studying abroad.
“These politicians give you small amount of money, which cannot pay for your school fees, to cause violence against your own brothers and sisters. Violence can lead you into prison, whilst Ghana needs her sons and daughters to build the country.”
The Mponuahene Nana Mbiah who is also a Prophet in charge of the Guankobea Prayer Ministry at Teacher Mante called on politicians to stop using abusive language against each other when they mount political platforms for their campaigns and instead focus on issues to enable the electorate to make inform choices.
He said peaceful and stable elections would attract the confidence of investors to establish industries to give employment for the unemployed youth who travel to the cities seeking for non-existent jobs.
