
Ajumako (C/R), May 30, GNA – The Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District has recorded a total of 60,193 eligible voters at the just ended Biometric Voter Registration exercise as against 56,404 in the previous voters register.
Of the number, 32,681 are females while 27,512 are males and it registered 2,744 persons who had attained 18 years and 2,482 for 19 years.
The District has 47 electoral areas with 118 polling centres.
Mr Fifii Bondze Caiquo, the District Electoral Officer, told the Ghana News Agency that the registration chalked success as a result of unity, hard work, and cooperation from all stakeholders including the staff, assembly members, the publicity education committee, the security service, and the local FM Station, Breezy 105.3.
He expressed his appreciation and gratitude to them and advised political parties to maintain peaceful co-existence with one another.
