Samsung Galaxy S III goes on sale in 28 countries

(CNN) — Samsung's new flagship Android smartphone http://www.cnn.com/2012/05/03/tech/mobile/samsung-galaxy-s-iii-smartphone/index.html , the Galaxy S3, today becomes available in 28 countries, including several European markets such as Germany and the UK.

The Galaxy S3 is the cream of the crop of Android smartphones, with a 4.8-inch touchscreen, a 8-megapixel rear-facing and 1.9-megapixel forward-facing camera, and the latest version of Android — Ice Cream Sandwich.

It also sports some neat innovations, such as a sensor that tracks eye movement, preventing the screen from going dark when you're looking at the device.

Samsung Galaxy S3 is not yet available with US carriers, but rumors say http://www.theverge.com/2012/5/25/3044336/rumor-samsung-galaxy-s-iii-us-canada-release-june-20 it's just a matter of weeks. In July, the device should be available in 145 countries and 296 carriers.
