Bolgatanga (U/E), May 24, GNA- Alhaji Umar Alhassan, the Principal of Bolgatanga Technical Institute, on Thursday called for technical education to be given the necessary support to produce the needed middle manpower of Ghana.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in Bolgatanga, Upper East Region, he said he had embarked on a campaign to improve education delivery in Technical schools so that the products would be well equipped to deliver quality services upon graduation.
He organized workshops for a working force of 120 teachers and supporting staff to ensure efficient teaching and encouraged teachers to teach only subject areas they had specialized.
He said since the campaign there had been an improvement in the institute's performance at the technical examinations and contact hours were adhered to religiously.
