
Tarkwa, May 23, GNA - Christopher Allah, a driver has been fined GHC120 by a Tarkwa circuit court for driving with an expired driving license.
He pleaded guilty.
Police Chief Inspector Edward Paddy told the court, presided over by Mr Samuel Obeng Diawuo that, on May 21, around 0820 hours, the accused was driving a Daihatsu Saloon cab with registration number WR 2599-1.
The Prosecutor said when the accused got to the Tarkwa post office area; he parked at an authorized part of the road to pick passengers causing danger to other road users.
He said the Motor Transport and Traffic Unit (MTTU) officials on duty in that area arrested him to the charge office.
Inspector Paddy said when the accused was asked to produce his license for inspection, it was detected that it had expired since November 6, 2011.
