
Sekondi (WR), May 21, GNA - A 32-year old man, Emmanuel Quayson alias Kweku Anim, is in the grips of the police for allegedly possessing narcotics without authority.
He had been remanded by the Kwesimintsim Police and would appear before court this week.
The Regional Crime Officer, Mr. Kofi Abraham confirmed the arrest to the GNA in Sekondi on Monday.
The police said Quayson was arrested for threatening, and when a search on him at the charge office revealed quantities of dry leaves wrapped in a black polythene bag in his pocket suspected to be Indian Hemp.
He, however, denied ownership of the substance and was remanded for further investigations.
The police said the substance would be examined at the police forensic laboratory in Accra.
