Virgin Atlantic Airlines says its decision to fly to Accra has been worthwhile in terms of returns they are making on their investments.

Virgin Atlantic two years joined British Airways as the only two airlines operating on the Accra-London route.

United Airlines recently announced its decision to suspend its operations from Washington to Accra, citing high fuel cost and “poor financial performance”.

Another airline Brussels has also suspended its operations without any official reasons.

General Manager for Virgin Atlantic Jonathan Harding however told Joy Business its operations to Ghana have been tremendous.

“The last two years have been very strong. Our traffic numbers have continued to grow year on year and we have added even more frequencies.

“..We are obviously delighted and the route is in good shape,” he said.
