Accra, May 18, GNA – An environmental and sanitation documentary production house, TGIB Production will embark on a five-day environmental expeditionary walk to create awareness and solve environmental issues.
The walk from Accra to the highest mountain in the country, Mountain Afadjato in the Volta Region, under the auspices of the Ministry of Environment, Science and Technology is to raise awareness on the need for every household in the capital to have a decent toilet facility.
Sirth Amago, Faciiltator of TGIB also said the walk is to raise awareness on the need to revisit trees planted during the International Year of Forestry day last year (June 6, 2011) and to raise funds for cured lepers and improve on their livelihood.
The walk is expected to commence after the 4th Accra Sports Expo, which ends on Friday, May 18.
