
Nkruma-Nkwanta (Ash), May 16, GNA – One person was killed and many other passengers injured when an Urvan Nissan bus on which they were traveling was involved in an accident on the Kumasi-Bibiani highway.
The deceased was identified as Isaac Fosu, 38.
The injured are receiving treatment at the Nkawie Government Hospital.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Ernest Fosu, the Nyinahin Commander, confirmed the accident to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) and said it happened at about 2000 hours on Tuesday.
He said the driver of a speeding Toyota pick-up attempted to overtake an articulated truck loaded with cocoa and in the process veered off into the lane of the oncoming bus and collided with it.
