
Inchaban (W/R), May 16, — A taxi cab driver, James Asefuah, is in the grip of the police for careless and inconsiderate driving and negligently causing harm.
The Western Regional Crime Officer, Mr. James Abraham told the GNA in Sekondi that Asefuah was driving an Opel Astra taxi cab with registration number GR 5246 T travelling from Inchaban towards Takoradi.
On reaching a section of the road at Upper Inchaban in the Shama District, Asefuah knocked down a pedestrian, Madam Awuanaba,45, when she was crossing the road.
The victim sustained severe injuries and was admitted at the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital.
The police said Asefuah has been released on police enquiry bail while investigations continue.
