Kumasi, May 11, GNA – The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Old Guards Association, has expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the just ended biometric voters' registration exercise, describing it as a huge success.
The exercise, the group said, marked the first major step towards ensuring the credibility of upcoming December polls.
A statement signed by its Chairman, Oheneba Asamoah Atuahene, in Kumasi, commended NDC agents, for their sacrifice and vigilance throughout the 40-day exercise.
It said: “Their commitment is a demonstration of their unadulterated belief in the ideals of the NDC as a political party determined to win elections on a level playing field.”
The statement asked NDC supporters to continue to work hard to assure a resounding electoral victory for the party.
It called on Ghanaians to protect peace by avoiding acts and pronouncements likely to trigger confusion and violence.
