
Tarkwa, May 8,GNA-A Tarkwa circuit court has granted a 70,000 Ghana cedi bail to Kenneth Quaison, sales supervisor, Sefwi Bekwai branch of Sametro Link, an MTN Ghana Limited agent, for stealing 58,173.14 Ghana cedis belonging to the company.
He will re-appear before court on May 30.
Prosecuting Chief Inspector Edward Paddy told the court presided over by Mr Samuel Obeng Diawuo that the accused ,who is 35 years old, has been with the company between October 2011 and April 2012.
According to the Prosecutor, on April 3, the company's internal audit team audited the accused books which revealed that an amount of 58,173.14 Ghana cedis could not be accounted for.
Inspector Paddy said, on April 21 the complainant, Mr. John Etroo, who is the deputy managing director of Sametro Link Company Limited, arrested the accused and handed him over to the police.
The Prosecutor said, the accused was subsequently re-arrested and charged with the offence.
