'Action and reaction are equal and opposite,' Newton's Third Law of Motion.

'As a football manager, you have to be held responsible for results, as a player, you have to be held responsible for performances,' Graham Taylor, former England Football Manager.

'If they come for your brother in the morning and you don't speak up, they will come for you in the evening,' Malcolm X.

Management principles refer to the three concepts of effectiveness, economy and efficiency. If you should find a mosquito in your bedroom and you decide to kill it, there are three ways you could go about it. In the first place, you can assume the role of Papa Dokunu- take a trip in a convoy with your family members to Mallam Atta Market to buy GH¢5 worth of kenkey and Gp10 pure water. In keeping with presidential tradition, you can well forget about buying fried fish to accompany the kenkey. After you have consumed the kenkey and water, that should give you enough strength to confront the mosquito with your palm.  In your attempt to kill the mosquito with your palm, you might have to make about three attempts at slapping the mosquito against the wall before you can succeed.

The second method is to buy a powerful mosquito spray from the nearest shop and use the mosquito spray to finish off the mosquito. One would expect these two methods to be used by a sympathetic mind who considers the wayward mosquito to be a poor orphan which happened to have lost its way, unfortunately to his bedroom. In accordance with management principles, the two methods may not be effective. However, they can be considered economical and efficient if the mosquito should die after first attempt.

An evil blood-thirsty mind with propensity for violence will adopt the third option to kill the mosquito. He will drive straight to Burma Camp, engage the services of a Field Marshall, if he can find one, and convince him to come with an AK47 to shoot the poor orphan wayward mosquito. The result will be so catastrophic that not only the body of the dead mosquito cannot be located but an unprecedented gargantuan hole will be made in the wall of the bedroom, requiring the illegal acquisition of Woyomegate judgment debt money to repair. This action will be highly effective but grossly uneconomical and inefficient if one should consider the salary of a Field Marshall, the cost of the bullet and the wear and tear of the machine gun. But that is how people associated with tradition of bloodletting and vicious violence behave. The means does not matter. The end ultimately justifies the means. The fable of killing a fly with a sledge hammer  which has been deplored by some as against killing the same fly with a bulldozer meant for road construction, as has been advocated by others, will match one of the Aesop's famous fables which should give all discerning Ghanaian voters food for thought, come December 2012.

As a person whose parents were Ahmadi Muslims but virtually attended Methodist Christian schools, there are many stories I find very interesting and awe inspiring in The Holy Bible.  Three of such stories are found in Acts chapter 9: Saul's conversion; John chapter 8; The adulterous woman; and the Book of Jonah.

Acts chapter 9 reads in part: 'Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord's disciples…As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, 'Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?'…Saul got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes he could see nothing…For three days he was blind…In Damascus, there was a disciple named Ananias. The Lord called to him in a vision, 'Ananias'. 'Yes, Lord', he answered. The Lord told him. 'Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying. In a vision, he has seen a man named Ananias come to place his hands on him to restore his sight'. 'Lord', Ananias answered, 'I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your saints in Jerusalem. And he has come here with authority from the chief priests to arrest all who call on your name'…then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, 'Brother Saul, the Lord – Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here – has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit'. Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul's eyes, and he could see again'.

John chapter 8 reads in part: 'The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group and said to Jesus, 'Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. In the Law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?…When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, 'If any of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her'…At this, those who heard began to go away at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. Jesus straightened up and ask her, 'Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?' 'No one, sir', she said. 'Then neither do I condemn you' Jesus declared. 'go now and leave your life of sin' '.

Part of the Book of Jonah reads: 'The word of the Lord came to Jonah son of Amittai: 'Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it, because its wickedness has come before me…But Jonah was greatly displeased and became angry. He prayed to the Lord, 'O Lord, is this not what I said when I was still at home? That is why I was so quick to flee to Tarshish. I knew that you are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love, a god who relents from sending calamity'.'

There are a lot of useful lessons to be learnt from the scriptures quoted above, vis-à-vis the Kennedy Ohene Agyapong episode. The way the nation is handling the Kennedy Ohene Agyapong episode has clearly confirmed my worst fears that this African continent and this country called Ghana have no future. I have said it and I will say it again and again.  Unless a miracle should happen and the Ever Merciful and Compassionate Allah up there in the heavens creates another bunch of jokers to provide Him with entertainment in order to free the black race from that burden of providing entertainment for the Almighty God, in 50 years time, the only black people living on this planet would be those living outside this black continent.  The idiotic behavior of the despotic post-independent black slave masters would have destroyed all the despondent, sheepish citizens who would have been used as cannon fodders. Once there are no more despondent sheepish citizens to act as slaves to satisfy the foolish and greedy gluttony of the despotic post-independent black slave masters, they would turn their guns on themselves and destroy themselves the way a massive meteorite destroyed the dinosaurs of old. I have my reasons for making this bold doomsday predication. But I will return to it later in the article.

Suffice to say that at this point, we do not have to go too far into history. Since the 'Fourth Republic', various governments we have had have successfully organised voter registration exercise without any violence or with minor incidence. Why then is it that it is only under the NDC government of President Mills that complete mayhem including the butchering of innocent university student and the beating up of a woman parliamentary candidate should accompany such an exercise which under normal circumstances should have been a routine drudgery? Prof. Mills, a law professor who doubles as the president of this country, has simply broken all the laws in the statute books of this country either through his pronouncement, his body language or plainly through his well-choreographed acts.

Prof. Mills has realised that he has failed woefully as president. President Mills has been a complete disaster and a disgrace. President Mills has come to the conclusion that he is a sure candidate for one term presidency. President Mills therefore appears to be a man on suicide mission, a man who appears to be tired of life but who won't like to die alone but rather will like to take the whole nation along with him. It should not take even any casual observer to arrive at the conclusion that President Mills, by his every act of omission and commission, appears to be courting a coup d'état, either a military one or the Arab Spring type as a face saving measure.

President Rawlings brought the curtains down when he alerted the nation to the danger confronting the whole country as a result of having a Yutong driver who can only keep awake by gulping coffee continually and continuously while at the wheels. Anybody who carries out even a simple analysis of President Rawlings' statement, which he issued before Easter on President Mills' NDC administration, which critically condemned the three-and-a-half years of President Mills' performance, while at the same time calling for a national prayer for the nation, can only draw one conclusion- a president who is playing the part of the Piped Piper of Hamelin. Observers should bear in mind the fact that President Rawlings is the Godfather of President Mills and that within less than three months into President Mills' tenure of office, President Rawlings predicted doom for President Mills' NDC administration based on the team President Mills assembled.  Today, a Daniel has come to judgment.
