LAGOS (AFP) - The death toll from a suicide attack on a senior police official's convoy in the eastern Nigerian state of Taraba on Monday has risen to 11, including one policeman, a rescue source said.
"Eleven people died," the rescue official said on condition of anonymity because he was not authorised to talk to the press. "One policeman was among them. There are 20 injured."
He did not know if the toll included the bomber. Police had earlier given a death toll of two people plus the bomber.
