MP Donates Ambulances To 4 Health Centers
THE MEMBER of Parliament for Upper Denkyira West, Benjamin Kofi Aryeh has presented four ambulances worth GH¢140,000 to four health centres in the district for emergency use and to improve health care.
Beneficiary communities include Diaso, Ntom, Subin, and Denkyira Dominase.
Mr. Aryeh, who is also deputy minority chief whip, said he made the donation because health care is paramount and therefore must be the main ingredient in any developing community's efforts to promote progress.
He pledged to provide a district hospital for the area and urged all residents to register in the ongoing biometric registration exercise.
Mr. Aryeh noted the district had been divided into four zones with each zone receiving one ambulance to provide medical treatment to the people.
'Since this is a deprived district lacking a hospital, mobile clinics will be set up in the ambulances to provide medical treatment,' he added saying he was negotiating with mobile telecommunication companies to get easy-to-memorize emergency telephone numbers for the people to contact in case of emergency.
He believes the provision of ambulances will reduce deaths in the district.
His constituents expressed gratitude to the MP for his kindness saying they hope he retains his seat in the December elections in order to do more for the area.
