THE ASHANTI Regional branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has expressed its heartfelt grief and sorrow to all those who lost their properties and valuables, and by extension, their livelihoods in last Sunday's fire outbreak at the Kumasi Central Market.

The occupants of the Kumasi Central Market were thrown into mourning last Sunday night around 9.00 p.m., when they lost their properties and belongings which cost about thousands of Ghana cedis at the market, during a devastating fire outbreak.

The NPP Regional Secretariat, in a statement signed by the Regional Secretary, Mr. Samuel Pyne, described the incident as unfortunate, and hoped that the victims would be strengthened by the good Lord in these sorrowful times, and also aid and guide them in their endeavours to regain their lost properties and valuables.

The party urged the city authorities to be proactive, so as to forestall any such occurrence in the future.
