
Accra, April 16, GNA – Beulah Society, within Akweteman Circuit of Methodist Church of Ghana, at West Legon in Accra has honoured Mr Kofi Portuphy, National Coordinator of National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) for his services and dedication to God.
In a citation, the Society said: "Your support for the needy and the less privileged in the Westland community, generosity and dedication have been recognised hence the honour."
Dr Richard Amponsah, Minister-in-charge of the Circuit in a sermon admonished Christians to do the will of the father.
"It is only when you do the will of God that the favour of God will pour out on you.”
Mr Portuphy expressed appreciation for the gesture and said: “The honour would encourage and strengthen my faith in God, because doing God's work is beneficial and fulfilling.”
He later presented 10 choir robes and two mobile public address system to the church.
