Akyem Oda, April 11, GNA - Ms Ophelia Koomson, the Birim Central Municipal Chief Executive, has expressed worry about indiscipline among students and appealed to school authorities to enforce the rules at all times.

She said some school authorities were losing control over their students and teaching staff leading to unacceptable behaviours such as sexual harassment, gang rape, drug addiction and stealing.

Ms Koomson expressed the concerns when she presented 50 bags of cement to the Akyem Oda St Francis Senior High Secondary/Technical School towards the completion of the girls' hostel.

She also donated jerseys and footballs to the School.

Ms Koomson said the time had come for parents and teachers to work together as partners in educating children and bringing them up well.

She stressed the need to inspire the girl-child by devoting time, money and other resources to ensure quality education for her and ensuring her moral upbringing.

Mr Johnson Yeboah Gyekye, the Headmaster of the school, thanked Ms Koomson for the donation and appealed for more assistance to make the institute a centre of excellence.

Ms Koomson also donated 50 bags of cement to the Muslim Community towards the completion of their mosque.
