The Center for African Elections Media Monitoring Index (CAEMMI) has entered into partnership with STAR-Ghana to promote Free, Fair, and Peaceful 2012 Election.

The partnership seeks to periodically monitor the implementation of Grant Partners (GPs) media engagement strategies and provide support as may be required during the election period.

As part of this partnership, CAEMMI is mandated to provide media consultancy for STAR –Ghana Grant Partners as well as strengthen their capacities to develop and implement strategies for effective engagement with the media in the implementation of their advocacy projects.

CAEMMI will also review relevant program documentation, develop methodology for capacity support and to collate GPs media engagement activities including the results of such engagement for Star-Ghana to achieve sustainable results.

STAR-Ghana has distributed grants totaling GH¢4.8 million to forty five GPs including the National Media Commission (NMC), Media Foundation of West Africa (MFWA), Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA), Integrated Social Development Centre (ISODEC), Christian Council of Ghana (CCG) and many others.

CAEMMI is an independent and non-profit international organization committed to providing comprehensive, informative Index data on Electoral related issues and promoting democratic governance processes in Africa by engaging Elections Media Monitoring Intelligence Tools (EMMIT) in media research.
