The International Alliance for Youth Sports (IAYS) has officially appointed the executive director of Youth Icon, Nana Yaw Osei-Darkwa, as its international youth sports ambassador.
By becoming an ambassador, Osei-Darkwa joins a select group of dedicated individuals worldwide who are strong advocates of the power of sports in making a positive difference in the lives of children.
The IAYS is the international division of the National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS), America's leading advocate for sports for children.
IAYS is committed to bringing the value of sports to countries around the world through Game On! Youth Sports, its signature program, as well as through its strategic partnerships with worldwide organizations such as The Peace Corps and Children International.
The Game On, a youth sports programme, which is the featured program of IAYS, focuses on educating communities on positive sports programming techniques and best practices.
It has impacted thousands of young lives since its inception in 2003. In addition, the program is focused on four key principles: fun, maximum participation, learning and success.
