France Islamist serial killer buried in Toulouse

TOULOUSE, France (AFP) - The body of Islamist extremist killer Mohamed Merah was buried at a cemetery in his hometown Toulouse Thursday despite local opposition, AFP correspondents said.

Merah, who killed seven people before he was shot dead by police last week, was buried at the southwestern city's Cornebarrieu cemetery after city officials tried to block the burial and Algeria rejected his corpse citing security concerns.
