Dwarfs to Mine Kotoko

Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs will be seeking to put a stop to the renaissance Asante Kotoko this Sunday as the two clubs try to test their strength at the Obuasi Len Clay in the top liner of the 21st week fixture of the Glo premier league.

Things have indeed mushroomed out of control for Dwarfs in the past two weeks as everything seem to weighing heavenly against them (crowd hooliganism and a subsequent ban by the PLB). The 'Porcupine Warriors' can be described as the runaway league winners haven't gone nine points clear off second placed Hearts of Oak.

Matches between these two sides have a certain historical underpinning and though Dwarfs is playing away from their favorite Robert Mensah Park, they would still want to keep their reputation alive.

As Dwarfs would want to prove their worth so would Kotoko love to maintain the gap between them and the second placed team in other to put the ghost to dead and this will make the fight looked like a soccer soap opera.

At the Accra Sports Stadium, Glorious Accra Hearts of Oak will come face-to-face with the scientific soccer lads, Liberty Professionals. Hearts is second on the log with 33 points whiles Liberty on the other hand is tenth with 27 points.

Matches between these two sides have always been difficult to predict except that the phobians have won the elephant share. Liberty doesn't look as dangerous as they were at the tail end of the first round where they defeated Hearts by 2:0 courtesy James Abban at the same venue.

Like Liberty, Hearts has also not been impressive in the second round and this has forced their management to call on ex Black Stars skipper C.K Akonnor to lead them from the bench. The splendor and pleasure of the game will be in the midfield where the phobians can bet on a lot of talents but Liberty is technically and tactically discipline.

'Giants Killers', Hearts of Lions will welcome soccer miners Ashantigold fc to the Kpando Park. Ashantigold has leapfrogged from their position on the log in the first round to the third spot with 32 points whiles Lions is ninth on the table with 27 points.

The supporters of Lions who used to flirt and skirts with winsome expectations at their favorite Kpando Park now watch their home matches through their heads and fear their worse and coming to face the soccer miners who are yet to loose a match in this second round has the possibility of splitting the point.

At the Nana Gyamfi Park in Bekwai, New Edubiase united will welcome All Stars. Edubiase occupies the seventh position on the table with 29 points whiles All Stars is fifth on the ladder with 32 points.

All Stars whether playing home or away are delightful to watch and can be a threat to any club. On the other hand, New Edubiase may have it cool as their goal predator; Emmanuel Baffoe is fit to lead their attack.

Relegation bound Wassaman united will play as host to Aduana Stars at the Tarkwa T & A Park. Wassaman is fourteenth on the log with 17 points whiles Aduana Stars is fourth with 32 points. The future of Wassaman in the league is seriously under the microscope and they are at a stage where every point counts.

Meanwhile on Saturday at the Accra Sports Stadium, another relegation zoomed Mighty Jets will welcome Medeama sporting club. Mighty Jets is thirteenth on the table with 21 points whiles Medeama is eleventh with 25 points. Medeama looks quite strong but the home side may run away with a slim win.
