Accra, March 16 , GNA - MTN, the leading communications company in Ghana, will be unveiling the MTN Hit Makers Show to unearth and showcase talents in the music industry.
The objective of MTN is to have a hit music programme that will help the music industry to identify and groom young aspiring artistes and support them with funding to assist them to enter the sector, a statement issued in Accra on Friday said.
MTN by Chief Marketing Officer Rahul De, expressed his excitement at the great opportunity for Ghanaian youth and MTN's continuous effort at innovatively supporting the development of the music industry in Ghana.
He said: “The MTN Hit Maker Show will seek to provide a platform for young individuals to demonstrate their musical talents and explore new opportunities on their journey to make history.
“MTN is very excited about the HIT Makers Show, which we are confident will help young individuals to unearth their full potential in the music industry.
“Over the years MTN has explored several avenues in its contribution to unearth youthful talent in programmes like Stars of the Future, Miss Malaika, Mentor and Soccer Academy, amongst others.
“The MTN Hit Maker will be another show that will identify would–be music artistes who can compose and create their own music, and project them into stars. Eventually the winner… would be supported to produce an album,” Mr Rahul De said.
He said MTN's motivation in developing such an innovative concept is purely driven by the fact that most young and aspiring musicians struggle to produce their demos.
“Numerous upcoming musicians troupe in and out of recording studios with demos on a daily basis in search of a producer. This makes the Hit Maker a lifeline for potential HIT Makers who struggle through the production phase of their first album,” he said.
The show when unveiled, will seek to create a distinct interactive experience for the viewer at home that will ultimately lead to the unveiling of The MTN Hit Maker winner.
