The Techiman Municipal Assembly last Wednesday presented Office furniture to the Ghana Education Service for onward delivery to the various basic schools within the Municipality.
The Municipal Chief Executive of Techiman, Hon. Alex Kyeremeh who presented One hundred and fifty (150) pieces of office furniture, urged the various schools to expect more since seven hundred (700) pieces were expected in all. He also expressed his strong commitment to education within the Municipality.
Since coming into office, the Municipal Chief Executive has started a Senior High School and built several Classroom, Dormitory and Administration Blocks for schools within the Municipality.
He urged all schools in the municipality to endeavour to improve the academic performance of their pupils and students.
Hon. Alex Kyeremeh noted that the plight of both students and teachers should be addressed simultaneously in order to make meaningful impact in the country's education.
The Municipal Education Director, Godfred Azholu received the furniture and thanked the Municipal Assembly for the great contributions being made towards education in the Municipality, and also handed it over to the conference of Heads of Basic Schools.
