TECHIMAN MCE PROVIDES FREE NHIS REGISTRATION FOR 5,000

The municipal chief executive of Techiman, Hon. Alex Kyeremeh is reaching out to five thousand (5000) people within the Techiman Municipality by registering them for the National Health Insurance Scheme.

In an interview with focus news, the Municipal Chief Executive, who is also contesting the Techiman North Parliamentary seat stated that the opportunity he was presenting was not only available to members of his party- the National Democratic Congress, but also available to members of the other parties.

“This is not something I am doing for political points so anyone irrespective of the person's political affiliation can take advantage of it as long as they are widows, invalids, or proven to be too poor or burdened to afford health insurance”, he said.

According to the hardworking MCE, he attaches so much importance to the health of his constituents.

“My opponents are calling it a political gimmick, but I assure them it's not. What they should know is that the people need to be alive and in good health in order to vote”, he said.

The MCE says his commitment to the health of the people is evidenced in the health –related projects he has undertaken on behalf of the people of Techiman.

He mentions CHP compounds, the construction of a nurse's training school, several mechanised boreholes all over the municipality and the evacuation of almost 40,000 tons of solid waste as part of projects he has undertaken towards the health of the people of Techiman and its environs.

He also mentions the construction of an ultra modern meat shop to replace an appalling fly ridden structure utilised as an abattoir previously.

He also urged residents of Techiman and its surroundings to be civil in their politicking especially during this electioneering period.
