NPP presidential candidate Nana Akufo-Addo has promised to conduct a clean campaign to wrest power from the NDC.
He assured the international community at lecture in London that he is not ready to spill “a single drop of blood” to become president of Ghana.
He promised he will never be provoked by the attacks he receives from the NDC to do anything that will endanger the country's enviable democratic record.
Nana noted people seeking power must also be ready to accept genuine defeat.
He reminded his audience that he accepted defeat in the last presidential election, without demanding a recount, seeking power-sharing or forcing a constitutional crisis, in an election which he lost by the narrowest of margins in the history of elections in Africa.
He said politicians should psyche themselves for a win or lose during elections and must be ready to resort to institutions to address grievances that may arise during or after the polls.
