Ntiribuoho appeals for support to complete library project

Ntiribuoho (Ash), Feb. 28, GNA – The people of Ntiribuoho in the Afigya-Kwabre District have appealed to the Government and the Education Ministry to assist them to complete a library and computer laboratory project started for schools in the community.

They said construction works on the one-storey building had stalled for lack of funds.

Mr Sampson Adu-Poku, Secretary to the town's projects implementation committee, told the GNA that they had limited resources and needed support from government.

He said on the structure, they are almost through with the first floor and would require about 500 bags of cement and about 10 tons of iron rods adding that work so far was done through voluntary financial contributions and labour provided by the people.

Mr Adu-Poku said the project was dear to the community because of the enormous benefits that would be derived by school children not only at Ntiribuoho but other nearby areas including Sasa, Hemang, Bomso, Bronkong, Afrancho, Krobo, Nkukua-Buoho, Achiase and Amoaman.

There is no such facility to assist pupils and students in these areas to build skills and receive practical training in computers, he added.

He said there were plans to organize a special fund-raising durbar in aid of the project and called on all citizens resident outside the area to come and assist in completing the project.
