A Deputy Communication Director of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Samuel Awuku says the four years given to the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) is the most wasted period in the history of the country.

He said the actions and inaction of the Mills-led administration is a clear indication that the NDC has no knowledge about governance but have resorted to making spurious allegations against their opponents in order to divert attention from their incompetence.

Sammy Awuku was reacting to claims by a Deputy Information Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa that some ministers under the erstwhile Kufuor government took away vital documents needed by government to pursue sensitive cases in court.

Okudzeto Ablakwa on Joy FM's current affairs programme Newsfile cited the office of the Chief of Staff which according to him was left bare.

But on Asempa FM's Ekosii Sen programme Monday, Sammy Awuku described Okudzeto Ablakwa's argument as 'shambolic' and another attempt by government to cover up the Woyomegate scandal.

He said the diversionary tactics being employed by government to sweep the gargantuan corruption in Woyomegate scandal under the carpet would fail because the NPP would ensure the GHS 51million is recovered from Alfred Woyome.

Sammy Awuku urged the NDC to quit the blame game, focus on their core mandate as the ruling government and deliver on the Better Ghana Agenda which is now an albatross on their neck.

He added that the so-called Better Ghana Agenda mantra of the NDC is an individualistic affair of which the only beneficiaries are close allies of government who engage in vile propaganda for their parochial interest.

The NPP Deputy Communications Director claimed that under the Better Ghana, the living conditions of Ghanaians have moved from bad to worst making the four year mandate given to the Mills-led government worthless.

He uged Ghanaians to choose between voting for the NPP for prosperity and voting for the NDC to remain in their poverty ahead of the December polls.

Sammy Awuku said given the track record of the NPP, it is the only party to salvage Ghana from further destruction by the NDC.
