Kengen (W/R), Feb. 9 GNA – Drivers in the Jomoro District have expressed their profound appreciation to government for having awarded contract for the tarring of the Ala-Bokazo-Eikwe-Tikobo Number One coastal road.
Egya Blay Kanrah, a Transporter at Ellonyi near Half Assini and a spokesman for the drivers, expressed the appreciation during a working visit to Kengen.
He said drivers plying the Tikobo Number-Beyin road were especially happy that that stretch of road was being tarred because that would prolong the life span of their vehicles and save them from spending huge sums on their maintenance.
Egya Kanrah said this was the first time that the road was been tarred and appealed to government to ensure that the project was completed before the general elections in December.
He appealed to residents of communities in the area of the project to cooperate with the contractors and ensure that the work progresses smoothly.
