Accra, Feb 8, GNA - A non-governmental organisation, the Outstretched Arm Foundation, is to organise a seminar on the theme "Holistic Loving" aimed at educating the youth on making the right choices concerning love issues, especially during the Valentine season.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Reverend Sena Avakame, Chief Executive Officer of the NGO, aimed at supporting, empowering and equipping the underprivileged and disempowered to become self reliant and beneficial to themselves and society.

The statement issued in Accra on Wednesday indicated that the seminar is expected to control careless sexual behaviours and consequently help curb the spread of HIV/AIDS during the season.

It stated that the event dubbed: “Sensible Love Seminar, 2012” in partnership with the Ghana AIDS Commission would have Madam Ekua Sena Dansua, Minister of Tourism and Lord Kenya, a musician as the Guest of Honour and Special Guest respectively, while the Reverend Nana Yaa Owusu Prempeh and Mrs Rita Yedu would be guest speakers.

The statement further explained that the mission of the NGO is to challenge our generation to consider character development a priority, inspire people to incorporate the Word of God as a standard for success in every facet of society and to empower young people to live up to their full potential in spite of the status quo.

It stated that the values of the NGO include pursuing excellence, exemplifying servant leadership, team work and humility.
