Tarkwa, Feb 2, GNA - The Susana Wesley Mount Zion Methodist Church, Tamso circuit, has donated assorted items worth GHC1,000 to the Angles of Hope Orphanage.
The donation formed part of the Tamso circuit's first anniversary celebration. Some of the items presented were pampers, toilet rolls, bags of rice, soaps, biscuits, soft drinks and a micro wave.
Madam Elizabeth Odamtor, the Vice President of the church, said the responsibility of Christians was not only about the spiritual needs of the society but also to assist the less privileged in society.
Receiving the items, Madam Esi Antobam, Chief Executive Officer of the orphanage, thanked the church for the donation.
Madam Antobam appealed to both government and private sector institutions within and outside the Tarkwa Nsueam Municipality to assist the orphanage.
