Koforidua, Jan. 31, GNA – Mr Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi, the Deputy Eastern Regional Minister, has appealed to all Parliamentary aspirants in the recent primaries of the National Democratic Congress to come together to help ensure victory in the coming elections.
He said if they were united the party would win more votes and expressed gratitude to delegates, friends and sympathizers of the party for the confidence they reposed in him by giving him the nod.
Mr Terlabi, the winner of the just ended parliamentary primary at the Lower Manya Krobo constituency, said this in an interview with the GNA in Koforidua on Tuesday.
Mr Terlabi said he would ensure that all campaign promises would be fulfilled when he finally retains the seat for the NDC.
“I am going to ensure the true representation of the people in Lower Manya in Parliament”, he said.
Mr Terlabi said it was his goal to work with the chiefs and people of the constituency in order to deliver a holistic and people centered development to the area.
He appealed to party members to educate the people on the achievements of the government and urged them to avoid the “politics of insults” which would lead to acrimony in the society.
