JWT Ghana Staff End Business Retreat

JWT Ghana, one of the leading advertising agencies in the country says it places premium on human capital development and will not relent in building the capacity of its workforce in Ghana.

The Managing Director of JWT Ghana, Mr Don Obilor, made the statement when staff of the agency returned from a five-day visit to Johannesburg, South Africa where they had their 2012 business retreat.

The annual retreat is an activity the agency undertakes to learn new things, plan for the ensuring year and take time off for relaxation and de-stressing.

“This year’s visit to South Africa is part of the activities marking the 10th anniversary of the agency,” Mr Obilor said, adding that because “2012 will be challenging and exciting, I believe such a trip will help to re-energize staff for the year ahead”.

He said the retreat was also important as it exposed the working force in Ghana to fresh perspectives from other cultures and environments to enable them improve their performance”, Mr Obilor stated.

Major highlights of the trip included indoor sessions to plan for the new year, a visit to major tourist sites in and around Johannesburg, as well as a visit to the Johannesburg office of JWT, where the team interacted with their South African counterparts.
